One of the tasks commonly faced by our internal design team at FlixMobility is to create designs for collaborations with other brands. In this case, I was tasked with designing a promotional poster for the boxed water brand; Postevand, targeted toward FlixBus customers.
Before working on any ideas, I set out to explore and immerse myself in the word of Postevand. This allows me to understand their typical visual language, in order to design for it.
With a strong understanding of the brand and how to design for it, I start to ideate. Firstly with a pen and paper, then on the computer. I’ll repeat these two steps until I made multiple strong ideas, as shown in the image.
With the core idea established, I proceed to refine two or three of the designs. Taking an iterative approach to making changes to tweak and refine the layout and typesetting.
